Which models are on the floor changes as stock moves, so if you are travelling specifically to see one appliance – a particular dehumidifier or air purifier – let the team know beforehand and they will confirm it is there.
Why see an air treatment appliance before you buy it
A dehumidifier is not a small purchase and the specification sheet only tells you part of the story. Three things are difficult to judge from a photograph and easy to judge in a room:
- Physical size. A 50-litre machine is not a tabletop object. Lukas Pro measures 382 × 650 × 287 mm and weighs 18 kg. That is fine beside a sofa in an open-plan villa floor and wrong for a small bedroom, and standing next to one settles the question in seconds.
- Noise. Published figures are ranges, and the number that matters is the quietest setting, because that is the one that runs overnight. Albert is quoted at 33–44 dB(A) and Lukas at 38–52 dB(A). Hearing the difference between those two on low is more useful than reading them.
- Controls and drainage. How the panel is laid out, how the tank comes out and where the drainage hose connects all decide whether an appliance is pleasant to live with. These are the details people come back to us about after six months.
The same goes for the app. Lukas Pro, Lukas Smart, Karl and Roger connect over Wi-Fi, and it is worth seeing what the app actually controls rather than assuming. On the appliance itself, the touch panel shows current humidity, and every setting – four power levels, timer, swing, laundry mode, night mode – is reachable from either place.
Stadler Form in the UAE
Stadler Form is a Swiss indoor climate brand that has designed dehumidifiers, air purifiers, humidifiers, fans, fan heaters and aroma diffusers since 1998, and its appliances have collected more than fifty design and product awards, the Red Dot among them. In the United Arab Emirates the brand is represented by PRO TECHnology, which holds the stock in Dubai, handles warranty and runs the service centre. That means an appliance bought here is diagnosed and repaired in Dubai rather than shipped to Europe, and the same team that sold it supplies the replacement filters. Most Stadler Form appliances carry a two-year warranty in the UAE. Lukas Pro, as a Pro Series appliance, carries five.
Dehumidifiers for the Dubai climate
Dehumidifiers are the reason most people come in. Outdoor humidity along the coast sits above 80 % for much of the summer, and while air conditioning removes some moisture as a by-product of cooling, it is not a humidity control and does not hold a room at a set level. The result is familiar: condensation on glass in the morning, a musty smell in a closed guest room, damp in a walk-in wardrobe, or mould appearing on a north-facing wall.
A dehumidifier with a hygrostat solves that differently from an air conditioner. You set a target – usually somewhere between 45 and 55 % relative humidity – and the compressor runs only until the room reaches it. Before choosing a capacity it is worth measuring with a hygrometer, because not every UAE room is too humid; heavily air-conditioned rooms are often too dry, and those need a humidifier instead.
The range, smallest to largest
- Theo – 10 litres a day, rooms to 40 m². A bedroom, study or store room. AED 1,149.
- Albert – 20 litres a day, rooms to 70 m², and at 33–44 dB(A) the quietest in the range, which is why it is the usual bedroom choice. AED 1,805.
- Lukas – 20 litres a day, rooms to 70 m², with Wi-Fi and a laundry-drying mode, and an optional H11 HEPA filter that turns it into a purifier as well. AED 2,450.
- Lukas Smart – the same 20-litre platform with the HEPA filter included. AED 2,550.
- Lukas Pro – 50 litres a day, rooms to 175 m² (435 m³), with an H11 HEPA filter included and 327 CADR of air purification. The one for villa floors, large apartments, offices and hotel suites.
Every model has a tank with automatic shut-off and takes a hose for continuous drainage, which is what you want if the appliance is going to run unattended. Air purifiers for homes and offices
The second category people ask to see is air purifiers. The problem here is different from humidity: fine desert dust, construction sand, pollen and cooking odours in interiors that stay sealed for most of the year. Stadler Form pairs a HEPA layer with activated carbon so particles and gases are dealt with in the same pass.

Working out which size you need
Room size is the first question the team will ask, and it is worth arriving with a rough answer. Measure the floor area of the space, and note whether it is closed or open to a hallway or stairwell, because an open-plan volume behaves like a much larger room. Ceiling height matters too, which is why the specifications quote cubic metres as well as square metres.
As a rough guide: a bedroom or study is usually Theo or Albert; a large apartment or a floor of a villa is Lukas or Lukas Smart; anything open-plan, commercial or above about 70 m² is Lukas Pro.
