Albert vs Lukas vs Lukas Pro: Which Dehumidifier Is Right for You in the UAE?

Three dehumidifiers, three different jobs

Stadler Form UAE sells three dehumidifiers for homes and offices, and the right one depends on the size of the space and the features you actually need. Stadler Form Albert is the quiet, straightforward 20-litre model for rooms up to 70 m². Stadler Form Lukas is the smart 20-litre model with Wi-Fi and a laundry-drying mode. Stadler Form Lukas Pro is the 50-litre 2-in-1: rated for dehumidification in rooms up to 175 m², with its HEPA air purifier rated separately at 327 CADR. Buying the largest unit for a small bedroom is unnecessary; buying a 20-litre unit for a villa floor leaves it running flat out.

Measure before you choose. A hygrometer reading that stays above 60 % relative humidity means the room needs dehumidification; a reading below 30 % in an air-conditioned room means it needs the opposite. This page compares the three Stadler Form models against each other. For a wider look at the market, including budget alternatives, read our UAE dehumidifier buying guide.

All three are compressor dehumidifiers with a digital hygrostat, automatic switch-off when the tank is full and a swing function to distribute air. Every figure above is the manufacturer’s rated value, measured under specified temperature and humidity test conditions; in a cool, air-conditioned room a unit extracts less than its rating, but the ranking between models stays the same.

Stadler Form Albert: quiet, simple 20-litre dehumidification

Dehumidifier infographic: humid air in, dry air out

Albert removes up to 20 litres a day and is rated for rooms up to 70 m² (175 m³). What sets it apart is noise: at 33–44 dB(A) it is the quietest of the three, with a night mode for bedrooms. It has an integrated hygrostat so it holds a set humidity level, a digital 24-hour timer, a swing function, a 4.6-litre tank with carrying handle and automatic shut-off, and a drainage hose for continuous operation. Power consumption is 270 W and it carries a two-year warranty.

Choose Albert if you want low-noise, straightforward humidity control in a bedroom, nursery, study or living room and do not need an app, a laundry mode or air purification. It is also the lowest-priced of the three. More on the model in our Albert article.

Stadler Form Lukas: the smart 20-litre dehumidifier for apartments

Lukas has the same 20 L/day capacity and 70 m² rating as Albert but adds the smart features: Wi-Fi and the Stadler Form app for remote control and schedules, a laundry-drying mode that uses the swing function to dry washing indoors, four power levels, a child lock and a defrost function. Noise is 38–52 dB(A) with a night mode; the tank holds 4.2 litres, a drainage hose is included and power consumption is 260 W. Warranty is two years. Lukas can also function as an air purifier when equipped with the compatible HEPA H11 filter, sold separately or bundled as Lukas Smart.

Choose Lukas if you live in an apartment, dry laundry indoors, want to control humidity from your phone, or want the option of adding particle filtration later. Our guide to Lukas for UAE apartments covers typical set-ups.

Stadler Form Lukas Pro: the 50-litre 2-in-1 for large spaces

Lukas Pro is a different size category. Rated extraction is up to 50 litres a day and the room rating is 175 m² (435 m³) – roughly a villa ground floor, a full-floor apartment or a large open-plan office. A HEPA H11 filter is included and, as an air purifier, it delivers 327 CADR, enough to exchange the air in a 131 m² room once per hour. It runs at 38–55 dB(A) with a night mode from 38 dB, has Wi-Fi and app control, a laundry mode, a 5.2-litre tank and an included hose for continuous drainage, and draws 545 W. As a Pro Series device it carries a five-year warranty.

Choose Lukas Pro when the space is much larger than 70 m², when several rooms open into each other, when the humidity load is heavy (coastal, ground floor, basement) or when you want dehumidification and air purification in one appliance. Read the complete Lukas Pro review or our 50-litre dehumidifier guide.

20 litres or 50 litres: how to decide

Start with the manufacturer’s rated room size, not the litres. A 20-litre-class unit is rated for up to 70 m²; a 50-litre-class unit for up to 175 m². Then add up the connected space: an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area of 100 m² is one volume, and it is already beyond a 20-litre rating. Finally, consider the load – a coastal plot, a ground floor, a laundry room or a pool house adds moisture faster than a fifth-floor bedroom.

Bigger is not automatically better. A 50-litre unit in a 15 m² bedroom is unnecessary: it is larger, heavier and uses more power for a room a 20-litre unit handles comfortably. The reverse is the common mistake in villas, where a 20-litre unit runs continuously and never reaches the target.

Which is quietest, and which is smartest?

Which Stadler Form dehumidifier is quietest? Albert, at 33–44 dB(A). Lukas runs at 38–52 dB(A) and Lukas Pro at 38–55 dB(A); all three have a night mode, and both Lukas models start from 38 dB in night mode.

Which has Wi-Fi? Lukas and Lukas Pro connect to the Stadler Form app; Albert is controlled on the unit.

Which one purifies the air? Lukas Pro includes a HEPA H11 filter and is rated at 327 CADR. Lukas can be fitted with a compatible HEPA filter. Albert is a dehumidifier only.

Which dries laundry? Lukas and Lukas Pro have a dedicated laundry-drying mode.

Our recommendation by situation

  • Quiet bedroom or occupied room, simple humidity control: Albert
  • Apartment, laundry drying, app control: Lukas
  • Large villa, open-plan area, large office, 50-litre requirement, or humidity plus air purification: Lukas Pro
  • Small room or basic application (up to 40 m²): Theo, the 10-litre model

Whichever class you land in, measure the room first and buy for the space you have. Browse all Stadler Form dehumidifiers in the UAE or call Stadler Form UAE on +971 4 343 5501 for advice on a specific room.

Choosing by space: bedroom, apartment, villa living area, hotel suite or office

Size the machine to the connected space it will actually treat, not to the total area of the property. A portable dehumidifier only works on air that reaches it, so rooms behind closed doors are not treated by a unit standing somewhere else.

  • Bedroom: a single room of roughly 12–25 m². Any 20-litre unit has ample capacity here, so choose on noise rather than litres.
  • Apartment: where the living, dining and kitchen areas open into each other, add them together and treat them as one space. Bedrooms behind closed doors need their own unit, or an open door and more time.
  • Villa living area: an open-plan ground floor of 100–175 m² is one volume and sits in the 50-litre class. That does not make it a whole-villa solution — upstairs bedrooms and a closed majlis are separate spaces.
  • Hotel suite: a suite of one or two connected rooms falls inside the 70 m² rating. Corridors and adjoining suites are not covered by the same unit.
  • Office: a cellular office or meeting room up to 70 m² suits the 20-litre class; an open-plan floor up to 175 m² suits the 50-litre class. Beyond that, plan for more than one unit rather than expecting one machine to stretch.

Frequently asked questions

For a bedroom or a one- to two-bedroom apartment, Albert (20 L/day, up to 70 m², 33–44 dB(A), AED 1,805). For the same size of space with Wi-Fi control and a laundry-drying mode, Lukas (AED 2,450). For a villa ground floor or any single room over about 70 m², Lukas Pro (50 L/day, up to 175 m², HEPA H11 included, five-year warranty).

Capacity and coverage, mainly. Lukas removes up to 20 litres a day in rooms up to 70 m² (175 m³); Lukas Pro removes up to 50 litres a day in rooms up to 175 m² (435 m³), ships with a HEPA H11 filter for air purification, and carries a five-year Pro Series warranty instead of two years. Lukas Pro is also physically larger and draws 545 W against 260 W.

Both are 20-litre-a-day units rated for rooms up to 70 m². Albert is the quieter of the two at 33–44 dB(A) against 38–52 dB(A) and costs less; Lukas adds Wi-Fi app control, a laundry-drying mode, a child lock, a defrost function and the option of a HEPA filter. Albert has a 4.6-litre tank, Lukas 4.2 litres. Both include a hose for continuous drainage.

Albert, at 33–44 dB(A), with night mode from 33 dB(A). Lukas and Lukas Pro both start at 38 dB(A) in night mode and Theo is rated at 42 dB(A). See our quiet bedroom dehumidifier guide for how those numbers translate in a real room.

If the space you are treating is a single open area larger than about 70 m² – a villa ground floor, a majlis, a double-height living room – then yes, because a 20-litre unit is rated below that. If you are treating individual bedrooms behind closed doors, two 20-litre units placed where the moisture is will often serve better than one large machine in the hallway.

Lukas Pro carries a five-year Pro Series warranty; Albert, Lukas, Lukas Smart and Theo carry two years. All are supported by Stadler Form UAE, the official distributor, with its own service centre and engineers in Business Bay, Dubai.
