For an individual bedroom or a small apartment, the quieter 20-litre Albert is the better fit. Measure the room with a hygrometer first; if it sits above 60 % relative humidity with the air conditioning running, Lukas Pro will bring it to your target and hold it.

Lukas Pro runs at 38–55 dB(A) and its night mode starts at 38 dB(A), which is low for a 50-litre compressor unit. It is not silent – no compressor dehumidifier is – and it is sized for large rooms, so in a bedroom it would rarely need to run at full power. Yes. Lukas Pro ships with a HEPA H11 filter fitted and works as a dehumidifier and air purifier at the same time or as either one alone. As an air purifier it has a capacity of 327 CADR and exchanges the air in a room of up to 131 m² once per hour; in an independent laboratory test it removed over 99.99 % of germs (Staphylococcus albus). A built-in particle sensor shows current air quality in white, yellow or red. Replacement filters are available as the Lukas Pro HEPA H11 filter (AED 199). Fit the included 100 cm hose to the drain connection at the back of the unit and route it to a floor drain, a bathroom outlet or a balcony drain, keeping the outflow end lower than the connection so the water runs off by gravity. With the hygrostat set, Lukas Pro then runs unattended; the Stadler Form app lets you check humidity and switch it on or off remotely, which is how many owners manage a villa while travelling in summer. Without the hose, the 5.2-litre tank stops the unit automatically when full.

It is not an industrial or construction dryer and should not be used for drying out new-build screed or open warehouse halls. Often, yes. Air conditioning can remove moisture as part of cooling, but it may not maintain the desired indoor relative humidity under every operating condition – for example on humid August nights when the set temperature is reached quickly and the compressor cycles off. A dehumidifier with a hygrostat targets humidity directly. Check with a hygrometer: if the room stays above 60 % RH with the AC on, Lukas Pro will hold it at your chosen level, typically 50–55 %.
